[edit] Origin

Young Link was first introduced in Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of time. He was the child version of the main protagonist, Link. He was included in Super Smash Brothers Melee as a clone to Link, although, they had subtle differences.

[edit] Appearances

  • The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time (N64)
  • The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask (N64)

[edit] Moves

Young Links moves are extremely similar to Link. He has a few differences that you should keep in mind. Advantages: He is faster than Link, boomerang and arrow are stronger (Arrow is changed to fire arrow), Bomb does more damage, Young Link can wall jump, he also has a better combo ability, and better spikes. Disadvantages: He has a smaller range (Including throw range), Less power, and weaker throws.

[edit] Inclusion in Melee

Young Link was included as Link's clone. Giving players the opportunity to switch between the two depending on there strategies.

[edit] Exclusion from Brawl

Young Link was excluded from Brawl, and was replaced my Toon Link. Toon Link is almost his exact double, except he is cell-shaded. There are very little differences between Toon Link and Young Link. Toon Link was put in, for being the new Link icon for 2002-present.
