Umbra Clock Tower is a stage available in Super Smash Bros. 3DS/Wii U, originating from the Bayonetta series. The stage can be downloaded, coming bundled with the character Bayonetta at a price of $5.99 for one game, or $6.99 for both.

[edit] Design

The stage consists of the clock face of the Umbra Clock Tower as a flat platform, moving in constant freefall. Smaller platforms will float in and out around the stage from time to time. When the stage enters the alternate world known as Purgatorio, angels such as Inspired and Fortitudo appear in the background at times.

[edit] Origin

The Umbra Clock Tower is an important structure that appears in the Bayonetta series, serving as a symbol of the presence of Umbra Witches. The stage was recreated from the opening prologue of the first game, where the tower is destroyed as a result of Witch Hunts. Bayonetta and her clan sister Jeanne fight an army of angels here together while on the falling clock face, before it is destroyed by Fortitudo. The clock tower also makes an appearance in the sequel, appearing during the time of the Witch Hunts when Bayonetta travels back in time.
