The Offical Art of Sand Bag.

|Appearance:||White, face depiction|
 Character Description and Item Effect
The Sandbag is a non-playable character from the Super Smash Bros. series. It first appeared in Super Smash Bros. Melee in the homerun contest minigame, where the player would attack the sandbag for 10 seconds before launching it as far as they could with a Home-Run Bat or another powerful attack. In Super Smash Bros. Brawl, this minigame returns, however, the sandbag was also added as an item. During standard play, the sandbag itself does nothing, but will sometimes drop more items, Stickers, or CDs when attacked.
The Sandbag also makes in appearance on online play when you're waiting for your opponent to begin the match. When you knock it off the stage, another one will appear with no damage taken. There is an infinite amount of these in the Practice Stage of the match.
 Item Strategy
Much like you would do in the Homerun contest minigame, you just continually hit Sandbag to make it give out items. The items Sandbag gives out are completely random, so be careful for explosives like the Smart Bomb and Bob-omb. Once Sandbag runs out of items, then he will be launched very far with attacks. As it gives out items, it is similar to the Crate, Barrel, and Party Ball items, although unlike these items, you can't pick up Sandbag.
 Trophy Description
An item that appears in the Home-Run Contest, where the goal is to do lots of damage to Sandbag, then send it flying as far as you can. It also appears in the regular game. If you smash it, a storm of confetti and items will burst out. Sandbag doesn't feel pain, though; in fact, it's happy to be of service.
