Pitfall

The Pitfall is an item from the Animal Crossing series, it first appeared, in Super Smash Bros Brawl. If a pitfall is thrown and it hits the ground it will bury itself, activating when a character walks over it. If the pitfall was buried in solid ground the character will fall in the ground and be trapped for a period of time, or until they are knocked out by a powerful attack, however if the pitfall was in a fall through platform the character will just fall through the platform. If a pitfall is thrown and it hits another character it's effect will activate instantaneously, burying people standing on solid block, making characters fall through on pass through platforms and meteor smashing if it hits in the air.
