Pikachu and Pichu is the 48th Event Match in Super Smash Bros. Melee. In order to clear this event, you must KO the 2 Pichus. This is much easier said than done, however, as the lone Pikachu will constantly try and attack you. Often times, the best way to go about beating this event is to focus on Pikachu first so you can build up his damage and knock him either off the stage for a KO or far off to where it takes him a little while to get back to the stage. Once you've gotten Pikachu out of the way for a short time, you can then focus on trying to KO both the Pichus. They will begin to attack you if you get in close enough proximity of them so approach strategically with a plan in mind before you start your attack. KOs against Pikachu won't count and he will respawn after every KO. Bear in mind that you do NOT have to KO both Pichus at the same time. There is no time limit and you can pick the character you want to be before the match. It is a bit of an easier fight if you pick a character that has good Speed and recovery range. Using characters like Fox, Falco, and even Pikachu can make the fight easier as they can use their mobility to get out of jams quickly.
[edit] Trivia
This event is likely based off of the Pokemon short, Pikachu and Pichu, from the 3rd Pokemon movie which came out just before the release of SSBM.
