Background

The pre-evoled form of Pikachu. Pichu makes its Appearance in Super Smash Bros. Melee, however, it is not a character in Super Smash Bros. Brawl or Super Smash Bros. Pichu was a character clone of Pikachu in Melee, though many of its Special Attacks also did damage to itself, while its Physical Attacks did not.

Brawl Time

Unfortunately Pichu was eliminated with the release of Super Smash Bros. Brawl along with Mewtwo and Roy. It could be considered that he was replaced by Pokémon Trainer, but that's an unsure argument. Pichu's main reason for being dismissed was probably due to the fact he was nearly a direct clone of Pikachu, just smaller and able to hurt himself. In terms of Brawl he is known to be among the Forbidden Seven.
