Main Article

Meowth is a catlike Pokémon mostly native to the Kanto region. Meowth love sparkly objects and will often go about seeking them. Its most famous incarnation is its appearance in the Pokémon anime as one of the main antagonists alongside Jessie and James, this Meowth however can speak human language and can translate most Pokémon language as well. It can evolve into Persian at Level 28.

[edit] Effect

Once released, Meowth will unleash a barrage of coins using Pay Day. Meowth will do this for a while and then vanish.

The means in which Meowth uses Pay Day has changed with the games. In Super Smash Bros Pay Day was used in which four coins are fired from it perpendicularly, traveling in a ring-like motion around Meowth. An opponent that somehow makes contact with Meowth will get knocked back.

Meowth doesn't appear in Super Smash Bros. Melee, but returns in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, and now shoots Pay Day in front of it with the coins spreading out in a ray-like manner. An opponent that gets too close to Meowth will take a lot of damage in a hurry.
