Mario Circuit consists of a track above and below. Every few seconds shy guys come racing in from either the top or bottom. Pay attention to where they're going. You can smash the Shy guys into other players with a well-timed hit. If you look in the background, you can see a screen. Check on it occasionally so you know where the racers are to avoid them. If one of the shy guys gets caught in a Triforce Slash, it's position will remain out of sync with the others for the rest of the match, causing it to trail behind the pack by a noticable amount.
