[edit] Description and Attacks

The Greap is a common enemy found in Super Smash Bros. Brawl's Subspace Emissary that first appears on the Skyworld level. These are large enemies that have quite powerful attacks. It attacks using scythes called Sickles. Its main attack is when it swings with its long Sickles to strike the player. This has a fairly high, upward knockback, but if you are able to avoid the attack, then you can take advantage of the fact that the Sickles get stuck in the ground momentarily to attack. Should you try to jump above it, the Greap will use its secondary attack. It will hop up while rotating its Sickles, similar to how Kirby's side special move works in midair. The knockback here is very low until the final strike, but the damage can pile up quickly if you get caught multiple times. To defeat a Greap, find openings to attack the red ball-like object that is sitting on top of the "pot".

[edit] Trophy Description

"A terrifying enemy with two giant sickles. It uses these well- sharpened, slice-'em-and-dice-'em sickles for a fearsome attack. With a handle on its back, it almost looks like a baby carriage. Combining horrific qualities with this precious imagery gives the Greap a somewhat conflicted disposition, exuding both creepiness and cuteness."

[edit] Trivia

It is believed that Greap's name is derived from the word "Grim Reaper". This helps to explain the heavy damage that the Greap can cause with just a single attack. There are others who believe that the name is derived from the words "grape" and "reap" which makes more sense when it comes to the appearance of a Greap.
