 Item Effect
The Dragoon is an item in Super Smash Bros Brawl. It hails from the Kirby universe, coming from the game Kirby's Air Ride. The dragoon is split into 3 parts and must be assembled to be used. When a character picks up one of the dragoon parts a symbol will appear next to the character's icon indicating that they have that piece. Once a character has a piece it can be randomly knocked out of them by an attack, if a character who was holding a piece is KOed the piece they were holding will fall out of them while they come down on the respawn platform. Once a character manages to collect all 3 piece of the dragoon it will assemble itself and the character will jump onto it and ride off the screen, a crosshair will then appear on screen which the character who assembled the dragoon can control and shoot. The dragoon is very powerful, if it hits it is usually a one hit KO, (The exception being shadow moses island) however you only get once shot so aim carefully. Using your shield will prove ineffective when the Dragoon is shot at you. Only one dragoon will appear in each match, after it is used more pieces will not come. It is impossible for a smash ball to appear while there are dragoon pieces on the field, and visa-versa
 Role in Subspace Emissary
The Dragoon played a small, but vital role in the Subspace Emissary. Kirby rode it into battle, and destroyed Ganondorf's and Bowser's Subspace cannon, sending them back into Subspace, so Mario and company could follow them.
The Dragoon is quite possibly the strongest single use item in the game. With the potential to KO in a single shot like Marth's Final Smash, the Dragoon must be evaded at all costs. Luckily, if you are unable to prevent it from being assembled by someone else, they have just a single shot and no do-over. With that being said, dodging is the only defense against a Dragoon attack once it's assembles as shields and counter-strike moves are totally useless. Once you're hit with this attack, you may as well kiss that life goodbye unless you're on Shadow Moses Island. If someone is KOed while holding pieces of the Dragoon, they will be dropped as that character respawns unless it's their last life in a Stock match. Also, people carrying pieces of the Dragoon will sometimes drop them upon being hit with an attack. Since the Dragoon is such a powerful item, there is only one set of pieces per match, so after someone uses the Dragoon once, no more pieces will come for the remainder of that match. Also, Smash Balls will never appear when there's at least one Dragoon piece on the battlefield. On the other hand, if there is a Smash Ball somewhere on the field, then Dragoon pieces will not show up.
