[edit] Background

Main Article

Blastoise is the final evolutionary form of the Water-Type Starter Pokémon of the Kanto region, Squirtle. The cannons on Blastoise's back can launch water over 160 feet away, strong enough to punch through steel. Blastoise evolves from Wartortle at Level 36. Blastoise also has the ability to Mega Evolve into Mega Blastoise, increasing its power immensely.

[edit] Effect

Upon being released, Blastoise will launch out a Hydro Pump attack, damaging anyone who gets hit and pushing them back. Blastoise will vanish after doing this for a while, or if the recoil of using Hydro Pump pushes Blastoise off the stage.

[edit] Considered

In Super Smash Bros. Brawl Blastoise was considered to be playable as a pokemon from the Pokemon Trainer, He was later replaced by Squirtle.
